信实：
- 忠信诚实，即：
- 我们忠於我们的信仰
- 指向上帝的本性 To live w God, we need to be faithful

- 对真理的忠诚

诗篇31：5 - 我将我的灵魂交在你手里； 耶和华诚实的神啊，你救赎了我。
诗篇25：10 - 凡遵守他的约和他法度的人，耶和华都以慈爱诚实待他。
诗篇89：1 - （以斯拉人以探的训诲诗。）我要歌唱耶和华的慈爱，直到永远； 我要用口将你的信实传与万代。
诗篇108：4 - 因为，你的慈爱大过诸天； 你的诚实达到穹苍。

- 希伯来文 chesed 即 “信实”
- 是所有语言中无法找到满意的翻译

歌林多前书1：9 - 神是信實的、你們原是被他所召、好與他兒子、我們的主耶穌基督、一同得分。
提摩太后书2：13 - 我们纵然失信、他仍是可信的．因为他不能背乎自己。
约翰一书1：9 - 我們若認自己的罪， 神是信實的、是公義的、必要赦免我們的罪、洗淨我們一切的不義。

无花果树：
- 耶稣诅咒了无花果树，为什么？
- 因为当时非收割期
- 而它当结果子
- 但它并没有结果子
- 因此这无花果树不信实
- 耶稣才会诅咒它

身为基督徒，
- 我们是否有忠於主所托付的？
- 我们是否对信仰忠诚？
- 我们是否已尽我们的责任？

因此，我们可能会时常起冲突，觉得自己是对的，以至论断别人。
但是，马太福音7：1-3谈到“不可判断人，免得你们被判断。你们怎样判断人，也必怎样被判断。”

所谓无风不起浪，无火不起烟，当有冲突的时候，通常两方都有错。

要避免或减少，就要：
-了解对方
-了解自己
-接受对方
-承认自己能够做得更好

然后由自己开始让步！

我从这讲道中，领悟到了温柔的真正意思。温柔不是我们平常所误以为然的，而是上帝的道。就算我们所做的事别人认为不温柔，但事实上可能是温柔的。因此，我们因该改变我们的想法，并得到圣灵所结的果子！

平安就一定要有平 (balance, equilibrium)
平衡时建造的一部分，要成功就要有平衡。

门徒叫醒了很累的耶稣，耶稣责备了他们，不是因为他们吵醒了耶稣而是因为他们有很少的信心。

平静让人可以思想，平衡造出美好的事物。

快乐vs喜乐 
As the name suggests，
快乐是很短暂的，来得快，去得也快
快乐从属世上的事情/物品得到。
喜乐则是从神儿来的，
不管周遭的环境多么恶劣也是可以拥有的。

Everything is from God,
“赏赐 在于你，收取也在于你”
喜乐是从神儿来出人意外的平安，当神给我们意想不到恩赐和福分。
So,
无论在任何环境都可以喜乐，即使在监牢。

The speaker was a counselor, and she used many examples she heard when counseling families with problems. One example was the 饭vs巧克力。
现在在新加坡，每年有两万四千人结婚，而有七千四百人离婚，数据相当惊人。
在她辅导的夫妻里，多数人要离婚的原因是因为他们对对方“已经没有感觉了”，感受不到对方对他的爱，所以要找另外一个更相成的人。
这个讲员在辅导的时候，用了饭和巧克力的比喻 。
虽然巧克力很甜，让人吃了能有一时的快感，但是不能填饱人的肚子。
反之，饭虽然没有巧克力好吃，但是却能填饱一个人的肚子一段时间。
离婚去找另外一个人就像在吃巧克力，能有一时的快感，但是这段新的婚姻又能维持多久？

One important factor for relationship to grow is personal responsibility.
马可福音5：25-28
这个金节里，一个患有12年血漏的妇女，知道耶稣来了，凭着信摸了耶稣的衣服，病就得了医治。
这个故事里让我们学到，我们每个人要维持关系，都有自己的本分和责任，像这个妇女一样，是她主动去到耶稣那里，病才痊愈，否则是不会被医治的。
同样的，要是我们与别人的关系破裂，我们是不是要去指责谁的错？还是主动去改进，以免恶化？

Secondly, she also mentioned that a good relationship is by God’s grace
诗篇90 ：14
“求你使我们早晨饱尝你的慈爱，好使我们一生一世欢呼喜乐。”
没有里所当然的恩典，神所赐给我们的恩典和福分，我们都要记住。
有了神的恩典，自然而然你就会有喜乐。
所以记住，惟有又从神儿来的恩典，我们才能够享受真正的喜乐。

My takeaways
At first I thought that this topic was not very applicable to us youths, since we are not married. But after the sermon, I felt that this can be very useful for us. Like what we have been discussing for the past few weeks about “The Purpose Driven Life”, we had been talking about building and restoring relationships. Like what she said, we must always take the initiative to confront the other party, whether to “build” or “restore” relationships. And that is when we can experience true joy.

THE EAGLE STORY：
老鹰能活到70岁。
可是，老鹰到了40岁后，它就不能捉prey了。
因为40岁后，老鹰就老了。
（老了--- beak 开始band了，feather也变得更多。）
当feather变得更多时，它就变得比较重。这样它就很难飞了。
然后，老鹰只有two choices。
1）one 就是去死。
2）two 就是要go throught 一个150days 的change。
（change---就是要把它的beak 敲掉，和把它的feather 拔掉。然后，150天后它就会变成像新的鸟一样。 然后才能再活30years）
这就是老鹰的改变！

所以，我们也需要改变。 可是我们为何要改变呢？
1）为了生存！
2）除去自我！

不要彼此说谎；因你们已经脱去旧人和旧人的行为，穿上了新人。这新人在知识上渐渐更新，正如造他主的形像。《歌罗西书》3：9-10

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator。（Colossians 3:9-10 NIV）

可是，我们也需要能让我们改变的推动力/Motivation.
1）就是要蒙神悦纳<---means to please god

不要效法这个世界．只要心意更新而变化、叫你们察验何为　神的善良、纯全可喜悦的旨意。 《罗马书》12：2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. （Romans 12：2 NIV）

So the verse 讲的就是从心里说要改变的。因为要改变就要付出代价。So 如果不是心里说要改变的很难才会付出代价。

现在我们懂要改变liao，我们就要懂要改什么和how to change。
1）study
2）health
3）character/personality
4）relationship
5）spiritual life

因 為 你 們 立 志 行 事 、 都 是 　 神 在 你 們 心 裡 運 行 、 為 要 成 就 他 的 美 意.《腓 立 比 書》2：13

For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.（Philippians 2:13NIV）
只要做出决定和行动，就能改变了！

改变的结果：
１）圣灵的果子（加拉太书５：２２－２３）
２）福音的果子：大使命（马太福音２８：１９－２０）
你跟神的关系是很重要的因为这是ｅｔｅｒｎｉｔｙ。

SUMMARY：

那兩只鬼非常
-兇惡
-可怕
-暴力

原因：-格拉林有兩千多只豬
-豬不是神喜愛的動物
-此外，那地方又有墓地

接下來，牧師就問了兩個問題
1）你相信鬼嗎？
和
2）你怕不怕鬼嗎？

諾你不相信鬼，自然的你也不會怕鬼，反之亦然。
牧師說，鬼其實不是那麽可怕，因爲我們是神的親愛的子

民。

鬼只能附生在人的身上，所以他們要人的身體。

着鬼的人通常喜歡
-肮脏
-傷害人身體
（目的）
-讓身體死掉

最後的勸告：
無論則麼樣，千萬千萬千萬千萬不能碰或玩鬼！！！

（容忍）
上帝的容忍是非常丰富，无微不至的。所以，我们虽然犯

了滔天大罪，我们亲爱的阿巴天父也会原谅
我们。

忍耐与时间的关系
-忍是忍受的意思
-耐是耐久的意思
-人一时风平浪静，推一步海阔天空。
-当我们忍无可忍的时候，我们就告诉自己，这只是时间

的问题而已

如何去忍耐？
-忍耐不是什么都不做而只是痴痴的等
-忍耐却是对时间的掌控
-忍耐不只对苦难而已，而是我们对所作的事的期待。

俗语说：“守得云开见月明”！

1. 跟从耶稣，你我是否愿意认真计算你我所负的代价呢？
As youths, maybe we can make adjustments in our time management.

2. 跟从耶稣，你我是否愿意永远以上帝的国为首先呢？(God as top priority)
愿意为神而牺牲吗？
9:59-60节：又对一个人说：“跟从我来！” 那人说：“主，容我先回去埋葬我的父亲。” 耶稣说：“任凭死人埋葬他们的死人，你只管去传扬神国的道。”
-不是说不要去孝敬父母
-而不要让‘小事’阻挡我们还要做得事情
-我们要知道什么时候做什么事
-我们还有更加重要的事情要做：传扬神国的道 (The heart may die, but the mouth doesn't stop. Just like Pastor had said, don't give up on sharing the gospel to people around you, you might succeed one day.)

3. 跟从耶稣，你我是否愿意全心全意投入敬拜服事主呢？
-这是我们一生一世要不断学习做的一件事
-要放下自己
-忘记背后，丢了就丢了，不要再拿回来 (Having faith in God's plan)

主题：赶出哑巴鬼

马太福音9章32-38节

背景：故事发生在加百农，一个哑巴鬼附上一个人，让那个人不能说话，耶稣把鬼赶出去，法利赛人就说耶稣是靠着鬼王完成这件事。这个故事在其三本福音中没记载。

这里有个对比：不能讲话的哑巴鬼 vs 讲鬼话的法利赛人（乱说耶稣是靠鬼王）。

应该思考的问题：鬼可怕吗?
鬼话谁讲？
鬼事谁说？
鬼是谁搞？
鬼样谁造？
鬼戏谁演？

其实，这些根本都是人做的！
1937年，南京大屠杀死了30万人
1939年，犹太人被希特勒赶尽杀绝，死了600万人
1945年，美国向广岛发射原子弹，死了20万人
2001年，911事件死了3000人

其实，最可怕的是什么?
-不是那只哑巴鬼
-哑巴鬼虾人，能吓多少人？
-但是，那群法理赛人乱讲鬼话，把耶稣害得多惨 ？
-最后也是他们把耶稣钉死的。
说鬼话：鬼话连篇
-是谁说耶稣是被鬼附的？ 法利赛人
-是谁说不会不认住的？彼得
-其实都是人说的，而不是鬼！

总结：因此，我们当小心，
雅各书3：1-2、5-6
1-2我的弟兄们，你们不应该有太多人做教师，因为知道我们做教师的将受更严厉的审判。我们在许多的事上都有过错，假如有人在言语上没有过错，他就是完全的人。
5-6照样，舌头虽然是个小肢体，却会说夸大的话。试看，星星之火，可以燎原。舌头就是火，在我们百体中，是个不义的世界，能污秽全身，把整个生命在运转中焚烧起来，而且是被地狱之火点燃的。
为此，我们能学习到
-鬼并不可怕，身为上帝的儿女，以后我怎样不怕鬼呢？
-什么是鬼话，以后我怎样避免说?

My takeaways:

这整个信息中，我收获最大的就是“人言可畏”，小小的舌头，却可以说出严重伤害对方的东西。比如，以前中国有一个女演员，阮玲玉，就是因为媒体，众人不停地说她坏话，让他精神受不了，最后自杀了。

与此同时，舌头也是能够赞美人、造就人的东西。如果我们每个人不吝啬与夸奖别人的好，而不是一再的吹毛求疵，说别人的坏话，那么我们的世界岂不是更完美？其实我们很多人都可以说话，是上帝给我们的福分，要怎么去用它，就取决于我们。

在这过程中，他认识了神。
因此，在他二十几岁时，他与几位基督徒同伴
一起带领教会。

而不是一个（名字）！

举例1）曾经，一名英国基督徒是一位短跑健将。
但是，在巴黎的奥运会100米赛落在一个星期天。
结果，那健将不跑。为了耶稣，他放弃了比赛。

举例2）曾经，一位基督徒邀请耶稣到他的家去住。
他只给耶稣一间房间。那晚，撒旦来了，而向进入屋子。
那基督徒不肯，和撒旦争扎了很久才赢。他就问耶稣，
为什么不帮他。

答案：那基督徒只把一间房给耶稣，而不是整个屋子。
这屋子仿佛是我们的心。若我们不把所有的主权给耶稣，
耶稣就不能帮助我们了。

总而言之，我们在遇见试探时，应该问自己

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

Judas:
- Gave the kiss of respect to Jesus
- Strayed away from God
- Betray Jesus
- Compare himself with other disciples (jealousy, inferiority)
- Surrendered to Satan

Why did Judas stray away from Jesus? He used to be very close to Him. When you KNOW THAT you strayed away from God, it's when you come back to Him. But to do so, you have to forgive yourself first and have the courage to face Him. There's only 2 kinds of people: 1) Following God 2) In/of the world belonging to satan. When we push God away, satan is at the back waiting to tempt you. Don't be a Judas! :-) Don't walk to a point of no return, like him.

Peter:
- Forgot God
- Over-confident, thick-skinned, fearful
- Do rash and foolish things

At the moment when he went to chop off the man's ear, he had actually forgotten about God. He lacks communication with Jesus. It does not mean that if you're close to Jesus physically then, you're exceptionally holy. If you move by the flesh, you'll be punished. Violence can never solve spiritual problem. How do we face our daily problem and difficulties in life? When you struggle the most, it is also when you're closest to God, you DEPEND on him.

The man whose ear got chopped off:
- Ignorant
- Restless
- No goal
- Not far sighted
- YET NOT INNOCENT
- Leader? (standing in front)

He has no idea why is he arresting Jesus. Restless because he does not have a choice! It is his job to arrest people! He didn't know what's the point of arresting Jesus.

Jesus:
- Thinking and missing God
- Calm and peaceful
- Courageous enough to face reality
- Provide love (protective)
- Fearless
- God is with Him
- Connected to God
- In control of the whole situation
- Even performed a miracle in front of everyone (healing the man's ear)

Those people over there, they saw the miracle but they still wanted to arrest Jesus because their hearts are already hardened, hardened till it's lifeless. 'No one takes my life away, it's my choice to sacrifice myself. I have the rights to give and I have the rights to take it back.' he loves everyone till the end.

Weapon to fight off your enemies (satan): BEING CONNECTED WITH GOD ♥ :)

Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem, when he met the 10 men with leprosy. These men asked him to heal them, and he did. These men left after they were healed; all but one Samaritan who came back to thank him. Jesus said to him, that it was his faith that had made him well.

Leprosy in biblical times
- There were no cures for leprosy.
- Before this, healing a leper had not been done in Israel for 700 years.
- Only Miriam (Moses sister) and Naaman (a general who obeyed Elijahs instructions) had been cured of leperosy.

Food for thought:
Why only the Samaritan man came back?
Why did he not follow the other nine?
Why must he return? Would there be a problem if he didn’t?
What about him after that?

耶稣对他说：“起来，走吧，你的信使你痊愈了。”
The faith that healed him. Was it his faith of the past, or the present, or the future?

过去我们可能因着一些事而信了耶稣。
过去我们可能经历一些事而信了耶稣。
但是今天我们为什么还要信耶稣？
因为我们为了今天和明天？

My Takeaway

We are like the lepers.
Some of us completely disregard help, and declare that’s life.
Some of us may walk away healed, and forget how we got healed.
Some, or maybe one, may choose to return to give thanks to whoever has helped him/her.

But when life just sucks, and you think no one can help you, do not feel pessimistic about it. If you seek help (not targeting anyone specifically), there will be people around you to help you. No, really.

Because we are a body of Christ.

“With Christ in the vessel we can smile at the storm!”

All of us can give thanks for whatever has happened in the past.
And because we believe in him, we can continue to give thanks to him, even in the midst of the storm, or whatever may happen thereafter.

say this 10 times: 我今后当怎样继续信耶稣？

How to show that we trust god in our daily life ?
We can read our daily bread and share our thoughts with our friends, trusting him , by not only saying , but also showing it with our actions (:

Ecclesiastes 5:13
~There is a great evil which I have seen under the sun--wealth kept by the owner to be his downfall.

John 9:4
While it is day we have to do the works of him who sent me: the night comes when no work may be done.

What stuck me the most was the faith of what the blind man had, that lead him to regain his sight again.It shows us that having faith in the lord is a very important thing.

怜恤中带有体恤别人真正的需要？

Those who have studied history, we would know that in the past, countries were always looking for opportunities to conquer lands. The more the better! But today, everyone wants peace.

This is especially true in the ancient Roman Empire. The 罗马帝国政府 places much effort in their army – their strategies and the training of the people. Similarly, the ordinary people respected the army greatly.

This bible story in Matthew 8:5-13 talks about a Roman Centurion. "As He entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to Him, beseeching Him and saying, "Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, in terrible distress." 

Let’s examine his status. A legion was the largest unit in the Roman army, composed of infantry and cavalry. At full strength, such a division could consist of more than 6,000 soldiers. Each legion was divided into "cohorts" of 600 men, and each cohort was further divided into "centuries" of 100 men. A century was commanded by a centurion.

In this story, the centurion displayed complete faith in Jesus. How can this person fully trust Jesus? Or rather how can this centurion trust others so easily, giving his status that he has met and seen many? Also, being a centurion, he clearly knows how is it to have power. How then can he easily put his pride down, have that faith, and approached Jesus since he has such proud authority of hundreds? Its’ probably because 1) he believed that Jesus really performed a miracle before, 2) his son is dying, he is desperate.

So the question to us is: why and how can we trust something? 

In other words, 你的信心是建立在哪里呢？

Feeling 感觉 (Pastor gave an example of Adam & Eve, they ate the fruit because they felt it was nice and they could really become like God)

Desire (I worship God so I can hit toto?)

Empathy 同理 (“wow the packaging on this slimming product got chio skinny girl sia, I want”)

According to Pastor, the bottom three will lead to success.

He identified the problem of man here. Do we look at the PURPOSE of it? Or is it just feel like it or look nice then we trust it?

So if we have this faith, then what should we do? Well, we should start looking further! Pastor questioned that can our church produce Doctors? Generals? Lawyers?

Well, here I understand that some of us may feel a little uncomfortable. What Pastor really means is that God yearns us to do the things we like, extraordinary well – just like the FOP day 1 sermon on Grace! I just want to share an extract on what Steve Jobs (founder, ex-CEO of Apple Inc.) said during a commencement speech at Stanford University in 2005. This is how it goes:

“I'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if I hadn't been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.”

Since we are the light of the world as Jesus said, then why aren't we shining for God? Why aren’t we beating the odds of society? Why aren’t we... up there? Well because I think we haven’t found it yet. God gave us miracles too, which is ourselves. God gave us grace, which is free of charge.

So starting today, I will continue to search my faith, placing it in all the right areas – in truth, in reason and in faithfulness, in what Christ had said and will bring. I want greater works. I hope you do as well. Because at the end of the day, I want to hear from Jesus what he said to the centurion, “Go; let it be done for you as you have believed” – Matthew 8:13
